The purpose of this domain is to educate patients who have knee problems. I shall try to answer questions about knee problems and how the orthopedic community in The United States usually treats those problems. Of course one must realize that the information I shall give is based upon orthopedic published literature, and is not the only way the medical problem can be treated.

Due to the fact that I am unable to examine your knee there is nothing that I can offer you in the way diagnoses, treatment or recommendations, other than to please make an appointment to be examined by an Orthopedic surgeon who specializes in surgery of the knee. If you are not happy with the doctor's view, ask for another consultation. If your request is not respected, seek another orthopedic surgeon.

To find an orthopedic surgeon in your city or area, please search www.aana.org, and or www.aaos.org, and or www.isakos.com/directory/index.html. When you get the web pages, look left and choose membership directory and then follow directions. You can search for doctors in every city and or state, and most foreign countries without knowing their names.

As similar questions are received repeatedly, those questions and my answers will be listed under a separate section titled, FAQ&A (Frequently Asked Questions and Answers).
